It's been quite a week with the Spring Show installed at the Althareta Yeargin Museum at WAIS. It will be up for the week with late night on Wednesday April 30 from 5 - 7:30. Will post pictures from the show in 2 weeks.
Here are some pics of bowls inspired by American glass-blowing legend Dale Chihuly. These are a special project that Ms. Perdomo's second graders were selected to make.

They were fired and then students painted them with glazes and they were fired again.
Pretty fabulous if I say so myself!!

Holiday Workshop
Hey there!! It's been a very busy last month!! Right before Thanksgiving I went to San Antonio for the Texas Art Education Association Convention. I had a great time and learned lots of new things to start teaching in January, so stay tuned!
We finished up class projects to make way for holiday decorations....third grade is finishing up on some Picasso/Cubism-inspired artworks that they started back before the Holiday Play rehearsals began. Here are some of them from today's class. Above are some first grade students painting on their ceramic ornaments! So lovely and so much fun!
